I would only recommend Shasa to families, esp with children. There are not many resorts in Koh Samui offering 3 bedrooms without charging a "presidential villa" price. Good things: Nice kids club (didn't use), superb spa therapist (the spa room is inside the gym room, which is tiny, but the skills and services is top notch), excellent restaurant (dinner  at Beyond the Sea is a must-go), Not-so-good things: Services and English standard of front desk is not consistent, very remote area, not recommendable for those not driving yourselves, not a single restaurant/ interest point at walking distance around the hotel, free shuttle is only one-way, they do turn down service together with room-cleaning, and cleanliness/ set-up varies every day... Overall, if you are looking for a large room for kids and big groups, go to Shasa. But if you are looking for romantic getaway or luxury, there are many more choices along the coastline

This is probably the best hotel that we have ever stayed in Thailand. The room is very spacious, well, actually it is more than spacious, staying in the hotel room feels like at home, in a luxury condominium. The view is magnificent, we fell in love with the beautiful bay view the first minute when we enter into the room. And you can enjoy the view  from the bed room, or from the sitting room over the balcony. There are three swimming pools, very clean and very lovely pools. There was one day we stayed by the pools for more than 5 hours, we really love them!!! They only have one restaurant, it serves the first class Thai food and in the breakfast they serve fresh honey with honey combs!!! The staff there are friendly and helpful, we enjoyed the services provided very much. However, there are few issues: 1. Internet connection, if you guys wish to be connected even in your vacation, the wifi, well, it is ok using the laptop, but we encountered problems with our cell phone, my wife's iphone got fixed, but my android phone was not able to get online for the whole stay. 2. The location, the hotel is rather remote from everywhere, so we stay in the hotel for the most of our stay, but well, we found it is not that a bad idea to just stay in such a fine hotel for a few days :-) 3. The hotel is sitting on the hill side facing a bay, but the bay, and the "beach" is far from being safe allowing anyone to swim in the sea. Probably that's why they have 3 pools, 3 very decent pools :-) To sum up, besides the above 3 minor issues, it's a hotel I would recommend to anyone, and I think we will definitely visit there again.

Отель нас удивил своим номером. Номер очень большой, компенсирует местонахождение отеля. Очень рекомендуем всем этот отель, в нашем путешествии это был первый отель зарезервированный нами на 7 дней, второй был на пляже Chaweng, совсм дургого плана. Без машины или мотобайка в этом отеле точно делать нечего. Машину можно арендовать за 800-900 батт в сутки,  мотобайк за 150-200 батт в сутки, в отеле снимать как правило немного подороже. Можно не стесняться оставлять паспорт у местных арендодателей байка или авто. Об отеле из плюсов, оборудован кухней, номер огромный, интернет в номере работает на 5+, бассейны шикарнейшие, были практически вжвоем возле бассейнов, т..к номеров отеле мало, никто не мешает друг другу. Хороший отель для медового месяца или отдыха с семьей. Из минусов, его местонахождение, первый раз немного заблудились пока ехали до него из аэропорта. У нас была машина, и мы постоянно выбирались на на пляж Ламай и Чавенг в рестораны на ужин и погулять.

If you are looking for a beautiful, restful spacious condo to stay in to unwind and get away from the hustle and bustle of city life: look no further. ShaSa Resort is just what you are looking for. The three pools are gorgeous. The cooking class is a must. The bathrooms are spa-fabulous. This resort is not for those who want to be in the middle of the  nightlife. But, it's perfect for families and the stressed out. We would definitely go again. Enjoyed the yoga class. The spa was expensive, but when you figure in cab fare, you may as well avoid the hassle and just use the spa at the resort. It was great having a kitchen and a washing machine with the kids.

My family and myself were pleasently surprised when we stepped into this hotel. We were greeted with friendly warm service right from the beginning. The rooms are spacious and the view at the balcony facing the sea is spectacular. The facilities are more than ample even for a long term stay, although we only stayed for 5 days. For example there are  facilites such as washing machine, dryer and kitchen equipments.There are 3 beautiful pools, a well fitted gym and even a kids room to entertain my 3 year old son. From a short distance, you will be able to reach the rocky beach from the hotel, where walking a further 150 meters gets you to the nearest sandy beach. The draw back is the hotel is located away from the main beaches where the restaurants and shops are, so we rented a car and did some sightseeing by driving.
